It's cool. No idea what it is. I'd put it in my garden with the rest of my "memory rocks"

It's a cool looking stone. Why break it in half?

I want to know whats inside of this thing kind a curious how my father insist that there is a black diamond inside he insist reddish and different colors will pop out XD

I'm no expert but it looks like a greenstone to me. Do you know it's origin?

My father has a carbonado ring - it's a fascinating stone! I have no idea what it looks like in the rough however. I hope you do cut that open to see what's inside!

I've seen something with that blobby formation before, I just can't recall where. It also looks kinda like nephrite to me.

Carbonados are incredibly rare. The best theories as to their origins involve meteorites, and supernovas before Earth settled down into a sphere rotating around the sun. I really doubt if your dad is correct on this one.

I'm not sure where you are located, but before you cut the rock open, you might post pictures on this website. Experts of all stripes will have a look. Do give the geographic origin (city, state, country) of the rock. When I'm asked "what snake/salamander/frog is this" photos to identify at work, that is my first screening criteria.

Just in case the rock is very rare or needs to be cut with specific equipment, it would be nice to get some experts to help you.
