Ideas for HW like setting and diamond.

Hi everyone,

My fiance and I are looking at settings and diamonds right now. She loves the Harry Winston Classic Round Solitaire setting but we don''t care about the "name brand." Does anyone have any ideas about how to go about finding a design exactly like it? I''m in the Washington, DC area. I have a decent budget of anywhere between 20k-30k. We really want good "bang for the buck."

Welcome to Pricescope! Sounds like you're off to a great start, in that you know what she'd like and are not bound by the brand name. I would recommend looking at Good Old Gold's website. Jon has a huge amount of information on his stones and does high def videos for out of state clients - or you can visit them in New York. Regarding settings, the closest thing I've seen are Leon Mege's settings: http://www.artofplatinum.com/. Have a look at his solitaires - his claw prongs are the most delicate I've ever seen.

I haven''t been able to find any pictures of the setting anywhere, but it''s important that the setting look exactly the Winston.
