Hey everyone, I finally picked up my first idealscope (hurray) and ran the diamond I'm considering through the tests. Since it's already placed on the ring, it's been extremely tough (or should I say an utter failure) to get photos taken. I know a picture speaks a thousand words, but here is my conundrum. Using regular light, the diamond is solid pink throughout, zero leakage. I tried to follow the advice on the forum and use my cellphone as a flashlight and shine the light up. Again, the diamond is solid dark pink throughout but there is one small sliver that seems to be leaking white beside the bottom right star prong.
I've compared it to other ideals in person and I can't seem to find a difference. I can't visibly see any darkness or issues in normal/perfect lighting. Is it something with the way I'm using the lighting on the idealscope? How can it be totally dark pink everywhere and have one sliver of whiteness beside a star prong? It doesn't make sense based on the reference charts
Am I going crazy?
BTW: The diamond scored a 1.8 on HCA
