It might be due to the lighting with the second image that there are lighter areas around the centre, I don't think it is leakage, it should be fine. Out of the two I prefer the first one. Also it is best to have hearts images in order to properly judge a h&a diamond, but if these are from the vendor I think they are from then they don't supply these unfortunately.

I am thinking A is the better diamond even though a shade smaller. I am going to be placing it with one the settings below. The 2nd is a touch larger, would there be anything I need to consider in deciding on the setting with the above diamond, will it fit well, shine well? I am leaning toward the 1st setting with Diamond A. Thanks

A:
Setting Information:
Metal: 18K White Gold
Width: 1.9mm

Diamond Qualities:
# of Round Diamonds: 20
Minimum carat total weight: 0.30
Average color: G-H
Average clarity: VS2-SI1

B:
Setting Information:
Metal: 18K White Gold
Width: 2.2mm

Diamond Qualities:
# of Round Diamonds: 18
Minimum carat total weight: 0.54
Average color: G-H
Average clarity: VS2-SI1

Do you have the links or images for the settings please?

Both IS looks good but I prefer B because of the higher crown.

Actually A will physically face up slightly larger than B if you look at the dimensions rather than weight of the stone.

I think there should not be a problem with the setting, since 1 carat is a very common size, the design would definitely have design for this size.

Not much difference in the settings, depends on your personal preference if you want a thinner ring or thicker ring.

Thanks- I think she would prefer thinner setting which my initial gut feeling.

Thank you for the links! I would go with the thinner setting, this can help make the diamond pop more. Also both diamonds will face up identically, you won't notice any difference between those diameter measurements.
