Hi Everyone,

I just received the Idealscope on one of my top two choices for my upgrade and am wondering if this is a good Idealscope image?

Here is a link to the diamond:

The gemologist did say it is eye clean, even though those tiny inclusions in the upper right corner concern me little. I wasn't originally looking for a SI1, but understand I may have to compromise on something since I have a budget.
He said it faces up closer to a E and had lots of other nice things to say about this diamond. Price will be around $4,700.

Do you think this diamond is worth serious consideration or should I keep looking?

This is a very good diamond. The only concern is the inclusion, as you mentioned. They do have a great return policy (free shipping, free returns) so you can inspect it yourself.

The light return looks really good to me. There is no leakage under the table and it is all a very saturated red, which is a good thing. It has nice bold arrow shafts which will be good for contrast. Having said that, the hot spots in between the arrows look a little bit small which I believe means they wont give as bold of flashes as some other stones, but overall it looks very nice to me. I'm relatively new to this, and some of the experts may have more to add, but I'd certainly consider it if I were you.

I love it.

I'd get it home and just inspect it I'd you're concerned.

The diamond is well cut and looks beautiful. But I would be a little concerned about having black inclusions as they appear to be reflecting throughout the stone. In real life that may be hard or impossible to see, but it would still bug me. I think you could find one with less obvious inclusions. Or drop to G color and go to VS2 clarity.

Thanks everyone for the replies!
I'm glad to hear this is a very nice diamond. Now I just need to decide if it will be "mind clean" enough for me, knowing there are dark inclusions so close to the table. I doubt I would be able to see the inclusions without very, very close inspection, but I'm not sure if it will bug me just knowing they are there.
diamondseeker2006 - I did notice that the inclusions seem to be reflecting throughout the stone when it is rotating and that does bother me more than if they were just showing at the surface without reflecting throughout. I would definitley be willing to drop the color to G to get the clarity to VS2.
Being so picky can kind of take the fun out of diamond shopping, but I do want to make sure I get the right one, since I likely won't be upgrading ever again.
Thanks again teobdl, pfunk, Niel and diamondseeker2006 :)
