After a few weeks of consideration and perusing the market, I think I''ve settled on a diamond that I like. The cut is ideal, according to a JA rep it is 100% eye-clean, and it falls right into the GIA/AGS overlap on the Pricescope Cut Advisor.

What I''m not sure of is the Idealscope image. I''ve done my reading and I know about the gray/light spots and what they mean, but that doesn''t mean I have much idea how to judge one.

I''d really appreciate it if anyone could look at the image below and just let me know if it appears to be good. As far as I can tell, it does. Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

The idealscope image looks good to me. You're looking for areas of black and red, with a minimum of white. The white you do see in this pic will give the stone good contrast.

The thing that's bothering me is...does it seem like the center of the stone is [slightly] hazy? Cuz it does to me. It could just be the picture, or my eyes, but I'd want to make sure.

ETA: I just looked at the grading report....there appears to be a cloud where I'm detecting the haziness. That is likely what I'm seeing. I see you've checked that it's eyeclean. That's good.

The IS looks great, and if you''ve been assured it''s eyeclean, looks like you have found your stone.
