Hey all! I was talking to a vendor and they have a Firescope and not an Idealscope. So I have several questions. Are they the same thing? Also, they said they can''t do pictures, I can only see it in the store. Do you need some type of special equipment to take scope pictures?

I will probably look at them in the store so a crash course on what to look for when using an Idealscope/Firescope (assuming they are similar) would be helpful. I''d appreciate any advice on what to look for since I may not be able to post them for your analysis. Any useful links?

I think an ideal scope is just a portable version of the firescope. (someone correct me if I''m wrong)

what you should look for :

http://diamonds.pricescope.com/firescope.asp

"The most brilliant diamonds look bright pink/red with a black star and minimal white or pale areas. Most ideal cuts have small ''V'' shaped white leakage features at the girdle. This is not bad. "

Another way to do it is to go to a web site like whiteflash and search for their a cut above diamonds. Look at the idealscope images there. You should look for something similar to that.
