I am hoping to get some thoughts on two idealscopes for two stones I am considering:

1) 1.122ct G VS1
Depth % 60.5
Table % 56.6
Crown Angle 34.0
Star 52.0
Pavilion Angle 40.9
Lower Girdle % 79.0
HCA: 1.0

2) 1.301ct G VS1
Depth % 61.3
Table % 55.5
Crown Angle 34.5
Star 49.0
Pavilion Angle 40.7
Lower Girdle % 77.0
HCA: 1.0

Both are AGS Ideal 0 stones from reputable vendors. Please let me know your thoughts on the two stones and which one you prefer and why.....or if I can do better in this color/clarity and size range. Thanks!

The photo set up of the second one is odd. But it looks they are both well cut. I'd go for the bigger one or the cheaper one.

Both IdealScopes show terrific light performance.

#2 looks slightly tilted to about 1:00 – you can tell by the shorter pavilion main facets located at 12:00 and 2:00. Nice candidates.

Thank you both for your input. There is about $2,600 in price difference between the two (with the second one as more expensive). I think I should be pretty happy with either one....but will need to decide!

They both look pretty good to me. I like the slightly smaller table on #2. Have ASETs for them by chance? I think you'd do well with either. :wavey:

My guess is that if you saw the two side by side, you wouldn't see much of a difference. On paper, I like #2 better, but for the price difference I would go with #1 and put that money towards an awesome setting. The nice thing about #1 is that with the shallower depth, you get a nice spread so faces up closer to the 1.3 ct even though it's only 1.12 ct. My guess is it faces up around 6.75-6.8 mm while the 1.3 ct faces up just shy of 7.0mm?
