Hi awesome everyone,

I''ve been putting in many many diamonds into the HCA advisor and have yet to come up with a single diamond that rates an excellent spread -- many hit excellent in all other areas but only are very good in spread. Partly out of curiosity, but also out of genuine interest in finding the most spectacular diamond within our size and price range, I''m curious about finding a diamond with an excellent spread. Any thoughts on how hard this is to find, and how it comes out that so very many out there are excellent in all other areas but only get a very good spread?

Thanks!

Only diamonds with depths of 60.3% or below get ex for spread on the HCA, nothing to worry about if you only get VG, this happens a lot. If you stick to depths around 60% - 62% then you should have appropriate spread for the weight assuming the other proportions are good.

Ditto. Actually, the best cut stones won''t get EX in spread.

Not necessary, there are some out there. Just rare.
