Does the Ideal-Scope show the arrows even when the ring is set in a solataire setting, I know you cannot see the hearts because that is from the pavillion side.

Yes... and there are a few pics on 'show me the ring' to demonstrate. One examples is Mara's new ring

An Ideal-Scope does not display the H&A effect as it only works from the crwon where the arrows can be viewed. You do not use it on the pavilion like a H&A viewer. The "arrows" visible in the I-S do represent the arrows seen in an H&A diamond and can be seen when the diamond is set.
