I just saw a post where Garry H posted an IS scope image based on GIA cert. Is there a way this can be done for this stone...I never bothered to try this when we purchased the diamond, I am just curious.....Thanks in advance

I dont think it would mean very much would it? I mean, the real value, beyond giving a visual representation to how the angles interact with one another, of the IS is to see inconsistencies in the angles and how there is light leakage caused by varying pavilion and crown angles--in otherwords, not all of the pavilion angles are 40.6 as you know, and the IS image can help reveal the story of how all of the actual unlisted angles interact with one another.

But if they just plug that baby up into one of there programs its going to spit out an IS image based on the angles listed assuming perfect unity throughout and shouldn't be anymore useful than a general understanding of how the listed angles interact with one another, or for that matter what the HCA has to say?

anyway, thats my understanding, since it isnt giving you any more actual feedback on the diamond, but only on the relationship of the listed angles.

If there is a value in posting them I do it happily. This one will loook just like all the perfect ones - it will not help you - stone should be great.

Thank you for your inputs
