Hey! I added this pic on the end of my last thread but I decided to go ahead and make a new post too so more people could check it out. What do you think of this diamond? I have it on hold but I want you all to check out the Ideal Scope image for me just to be sure there''s no major flaws. Thanks!

I like this image!

Looks good.

The diamond is on its way! I will post pics after I get it set. What do you look for in an IS image? And what does painted mean?

I will post a link which will explain painting.

It is a bit of a controversial issue however not all painting is bad, in some cases it can enhance the desirable visual properties of a diamond, the controversy originates because in some cases it can be used as a ' swindling' strategy in order to save valuable carat weight to detriment of beauty. However it is easier to sort out which are the ones where brillianteering is not an issue with Idealscope images.

This page explains IS images and what to look for.

For me I look for any leakage or lack thereof and also the optical symmetry and patterning of a diamond, Idealscope gives a very good idea of whether a diamond is worth real consideration for purchase.
