I think that I want to go with another oval. Minimum 1.5 carats. Doesn't have to be much bigger, but not any smaller. I've been reading on here how GIA cuts aren't always graded well and there's another way (holloway?). Anyhoo, I'm wondering, if the diamond was perfectly cut, what table and depth and all that would an oval have?
My now destroyed oval was as follows: depth 59%, table 67%, girdle slightly thick and faceted, no culet, measurements 9.02 x 6.46 x 3.81 mm. I loved it. I know that dh and I looked at a LOT of ovals, and that one really seemed to sparkle more than all the others.
