ID House Appraised Stones?

Oh knowledgeable PSers,
I've been in touch with Luann at ID about a stud project I am working on (a to me-from me pressie on getting a big promotion at work). I communicated that my priorities were very well cut stones that are eye clean, and that I'm not very color sensitive and wish to maximize size for my budget assuming the cut is up to par.

Luann suggested house-appraised stones for me and is awaiting a new shipment to come in to send me photos and specs on a few options.

I don't *think* this bothers me. Do any of you have experience with going this route? Thoughts?

PPS: BGD has provided me a quote on some stones that look lovely - but they are signature H&As and I'm not sure at this size ( less than 1cttw) this matters to me too much.

I love BGD H&A, but I prefer them for rings - so that I can admire their beauty without having to look in a mirror.

I own a pair of ID Jewelry milgrain bezeled earrings with their uncerted excellent cut diamonds. I love them, and wear them almost every day! If I am recalling correctly, even though they are uncerted, they can still be upgraded in the future, whereas with BGD, only their signature stones have an upgrade policy. If the opportunity to upgrade in the future is important confirm the policy with Luann.

When I got my iD jewelry earrings, I got them apprasied by an independent appraiser (who is also listed under the "Resources" menu tab), and I did VERY well on them, value-wise!

Thank you! I'm hoping that if all the stars align I will be able to get millgrained bezels myself - so happy to hear you were satisfied with the quality AND that you think they're upgradeable. I'll confirm with Luann.
