Yesterday I went to Jared's looking for a plain matching wedding band for a diamond set in a solitaire ring that I had purchased a few years ago at Jared, before I knew about Pricescope. I picked the diamond off their on-line database and must say I really like the diamond. They didn't have a large selection of platinum, nor did they have simple matched wedding sets at the time. I called before I went in yesterday and the lady assured me they would have something or something could be ordered that would match perfectly. Well, they had nothing in the store that would work, nothing they could order, so they suggested a custom-made wedding band. I hesitated, as I know the prices at Jared are WAY over-priced. The thin solitaire setting in-store was priced at $1299.00. I called the other Jared location nearby to ask about custom, I was told the fee for custom was $600.00 added on to whatever was done. Basically, looking at over $2,000 for a thin wedding band. So, knowing that I can get a more substantial matched platinum set online for a lot less, I asked them what they would charge to set their diamond in an outside setting. I was told $500.00. Unbelievable!!!!!

Unbelievable indeed! Use a PS vendor or some other vendor and have it set with a local jeweler. Make sure your stone is insured.

Well so did my brother in Boise, ID after I refered Wink to him.

My brother should have known better (he has seen my jewelry), I think it was SIL's idea myself.
