I think I may have had a heart attack.
I’ve been admitted to the hospital for some type of cardiac event. My high sensitivity tronopin was 98, so I’m admitted, just repeated labs, consult cardiology, started on heparin, have heart monitor on.
It was something different and I won’t be surprised if it’s a heart attack. It started with a vague feeling of unwellness 2 days ago with neck and muscular pain. I couldn’t sleep last night— clammy and hot and cold but no fever. I thought I had covid but I tested negative today.
For two days I felt as if I would have an esophageal spasm, but it never fully came on.
Then today I had extreme fatigue like my body was in quick sand, purple toes, repeated waves of spasms with a 10 on pain scale with a strong dull pressure in my sternum. Then it started radiating to my neck, so hubs took me to the ER.
I’ll keep you all posted. I feel ok now as the spasms went away after they gave me aspirin. I’ll find out tomorrow if I need a heart cath or whatever.
I do have heart disease, ejection fraction of 49% and mild valvular disease. Plus all of the arrhythmias. I’m on 3 heart rhythm drugs.
I had purple toes while in the ER.
They just gave me morphine because when I stood up to walk to the bathroom, I had another spasm. I’ll find out tomorrow what they think this is and if I need a heart cath.
