Hi everyone! I have been a short-time lurker, reading all of your advice and looking at your gorgeous pictures. Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!!!

To make a long story short, my SO and I went ring shopping a couple of weeks ago and since then I have been looking at stones online. I am in love with the GOG August Vintage and have looked for a stone but none really fit what I like which is a higher color and larger spread!! I found this stone on another site and was hoping maybe you could critique it. I adore the facets! I am awaiting the ASET to evaluate the light performance.

That certainly is a beautifully faceted cushion cut! Can you get the ASET? Nice measurement specs too mid 60's depth and mid 50's table. Is it a "cushion brilliant" or modified CB?

Looks great to me. Hope it is THE one.

I have requested the ASET and I believe the GIA report stated it is cushion modified. I am not a fan of the "crushed ice" appearance though. I am hoping this isn't one of them!

The stone is over 8k for a 1 ct so I'm just trying to validate the price. I know it will be hard to determine without the ASET but I thought I could get some prelimary feedback :twirl: I've attached the GIA Report as well . Thanks again!

It's looks like it has great potential, but it does seem pricey compared to others with the same specs. Is this through a local BM or through an online vendor?

edit nevermind I see from the photo that it's from James Allen. I assume you have it on hold because I couldn't find it listed?

The diamond you selected does not look at all like a crushed ice faceting pattern. It looks like a well cut faceted cushion. Here are some examples of crushed iced diamonds from JA's website, to give you an idea of the different way they look.

This one looks like crushed ice, but maybe not??

Thank you all for your feedback. I didn't think it would have the crushed ice appearance, I'm glad you don't think so either. It is a JA stone and on hold as I await the aset report. I was hoping for a heavier stone, but the spread on this one seems to be pretty good.

Also, the stone has a maple leaf. I've read other posts that it means that it is a Canadian diamondi?

Ariel, you are right! The facets seem very similar! Ahhhhhhh, I'm so anxious!
