I'm feeling 99% sure this is it! I have an appointment next week with a local jeweler to try this on, they didn't have it in stock when I inquired about it so they had to order it...

I am SO hoping this looks good on my hand because I LOVE this wedding set :appl: ...and I want to put an end to this unhappy/setting changing madness :nono:

The "crazy" thing is that my orginial ering looks almost exactly like it except this is more rounded and my original was more square (it was uncomfortable too). My fiance is very happy of course because it looks very simliar to the ering he originally bought me before I changed it TWICE :errrr:

I'll keep you guys posted...

I hope you love it!!!

That looks beautiful! I love the 360 on the website - gives you all the angles to truly judge accurately. Do you know anyone with experience dealing w Gabriel & Co and their pave? Just read so much on PS regarding special care with pave bands, that's all.

It looks amazing- take some photos when it comes in to the store so we can enjoy it with you!

Do you like the peg head?

I contacted Gabriel & Co and they gave me the jeweler in my area that is an autorized dealer...that's the jeweler I have the appointment with next week.

I'll take pics :)

I think I prefer a delicate 6 prong but Gabriel & Co stated that their parts are interchangeble...so if I'm not happy with this peg head in person I have the option to change it (customize it)...

great.

That is good.

Part of the reason the prices are lower from that mount that you might see is because of the style of head, peg styles are interchangable. I prefer integrated heads, and if you find in person that you do too, there are a number of companies that make similar rings with integrated heads. Vatche for example. But they cost more.

I hope it works out and looks great on your hand.

Yeah intergrated heads are nice, but that is not someting I am interested in...at this time ;))

def come back and let us know how it goes!

I have the appointment with the jeweler tomorrow and I've been having separation anxiety  I took pictures of my halo all weekend catching it in the sun. I can't believe I am feeling this way :?

Have any of you felt like that before?

Here is one of the pictures I took:

I haven't been in your situation before, but I think what you're feeling is probably very normal. Was this the setting with which your SO proposed or the setting you chose together? If so, it probably has added significance and sentimentality, which makes it difficult to part with. I imagine others have felt this way before, and will hopefully give feedback.

Maybe your feelings about the situation will be clearer when you see the Gabriel and Co. setting you've had your eye on.

Keep us posted!

I have setting anxiety too! I changed my setting several times before I was happy. DH has given me the go ahead for an upgrade and I've found several stones that I've been really interested in, but because I have NO CLUE how I want to set the diamond I don't dare purchase it. I'm not the type that can fall in love with a diamond and then stuff it in my jewelry box for months waiting to find the perfect ring to put it in. So frustrating!!! ;(

I hope that you really love this setting. Good Luck!

I'm back from the jeweler! I have good news and bad news...

Bad news first..........................................................................I didn't like the Gabriel and Co setting because it was too thin. It was the same width as my current setting. I loved the prong and the height of the setting but it was too thin.

Good News..............................................................................I found another setting that I loved and will be getting, it is VERY similar.

What I learned today was the difference between micro pave and pave. Online they look the same to me, but in person, totally different...pave is much more blingy :D than micropave. Here are the pictures of what will be my new setting. :appl:

Sorry the pics are SO big

Here is the last pic:

Oh I forgot to mention the width of the bands.

Gabriel & Co was 2.3... I was surprised that 2.3mm was that thin.

The set I'm getting is 3.1mm...I thought that was going to be too wide but it was perfect to me once I put it on...I am also going to love just wearing the wedding band by itself it's so pretty and blingy!

BEautiful setting and TONS of bling action on those 2 rings!
I'm happy you found out that what you thought you liked (and good thing you didn't order sight unseen!) wasn't what you wanted. Pays to test drive these selections - glad its working out in your favour. When do you get the new rings? (or if i missed that tidbit - sorry!)

Yes I'm SO glad I didn't buy it sight unseen...I would have been on here crying about how I made such a horrible decision and my fiance is really ready to kill me

No, you didn't miss the part about when I receive the rings. I have to talk to my fiance about that because I went to the appointment by myself. I am hoping that it will be this year  we get married next year and we still have to make a few more deposits for the wedding and we have a meeting with a videographer in the next few weeks so I know those are the "priorities" right now but when I get a definite date you know I will let you guys know ;)
