Hey guys, I''ve been looking at diamonds for a while and finally found one. This will be an engagement ring.

Here''s what I''m looking at. 1.10ct, I, SI1 (eye clean), excellent cut, HCA 1.7. Price is going to be $4625 less 5% whatever that comes too (around 4300 I think).

What do you all think? I am slightly worried about the I color. Will it be noticable to normal people that it isn''t a E or D? I have looked at stores and couldn''t tell much of a difference but I am by no means an expert on this sort of thing like some people here. How does that price look?

Thanks for your help, this descision is worse than buying a car

Looks good to me. Color is a personal preference and sensitivity thing.

Hi Acme

The image looks good, as to the I colour if you aren''t sure, see if you can view some well cut I of similar size and cut quality in person, try Jareds to view their AGS0 Peerless brand if you have a store closeby.

Thanks guys,

Going to a store to look at the differences is a good idea, I think I''ll do that. I have compared I to E before and couldn''t tell a difference. The I had a better cut than the E which may be why. I just don''t want to make the wrong descision.

I don''t think you will make the wrong decision, but checking some similar cut, size, shape and colour grade would be very helpful so you know your own colour preference and tolerance.
