Hello everyone, for those that have seen my previous posts I''m getting closer to a final dimaond and setting from WF.....WF have been super helpful so far and have given me some great options in terms of both diamonds and settings.....I''m not vey good at decisions so the good people at WF and the GREAT people at PS have really helped with their comments so far..

I think I have found my diamond

Here is a diamond that I am having shipped to whiteflash for them to view, 40X image and idealscope etc will be provided in the next few days, in the meantime, any comments based on the certificate and info below:

0.82 carat Round Brilliant Cut (6.07 X 6.10 X 3.85)

Price:
around $3000

GIA Certificate
Colour: G
Clarity: SI1
Depth: 60%
Table: 59%
Crown Angle: 34%
Pavilion Angle: 40.6%
Thin-Medium Faceted
GIA Cut Grade: Excellent
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Flourescence: None

Comments on certificate: none

Holloway Cut Advisor Score: 1 with results of EX, EX, EX, EX across the board.

Whiteflash have advised that the stone is eye clean.

Only cause for concern….. the image where the appraiser notes any inclusions shows a ‘feather’ towards the outer edge of the stone – is this a cause for concern?? Note that I''ll get a 40X image of the stone once it arrives at WF as well as idealscope etc...

I have done a search under ‘feather’ and read a few comments and it appears that people disagree on whether feathers are bad or not and that its really on a case by case basis?!?!

Any comments on the stone? Or specifically ‘feathers’?

Someone comment....please.......

Looks good based on what you have provided. Feathers normally are totally fine, WF will advise you once they see it.

You are definitely in good hands with Whiteflash, I would trust what they say.

I''m no expert but feathers that reach the edge of the diamond could potentially increase the risk of the diamond chipping.

Also, 59% table seems to be quite large. I dont know if that has any negative effect on fire or not (typically diamonds with smaller tables have more fire).
