As you remember, I''m searching for that elusive Asscher. All of the members here at Pricescope have been such a great help in my education and I value all of your opinions. I have been looking at GoG and they have a few more in at the 1.5 carat range. I also foung this at JA http://www.jamesallen.com/diamond.asp?find=1&cid=130&item=1120246 but I''m worried it may be a bit too shallow. What are your opinions on the GoG asschers and the JA stone. I''ve been looking for almost 8 months with not much luck.

Have an IS image for the JA stone?

Karl I''m glad you showed up (can always count on you). I like the GoG stone it''s a beautiful shape but I thought the P3 angles were bad and that is what caused the darkness in the center? IS image of the JA stone will be here tomorrow.

The gog 1.5 is the one with some minor optical symmetry issues.
The light return is excellent.
I suspect and Jon can confirm that the symmetry issues aren't a big deal.
One p3 set is borderline.
I would trust Jon's eyes on it.

Ok, I recieved an IS and Sarin of one stone I was looking at, still waiting on the above mentioned JA stone. The link to this stone is http://www.jamesallen.com/diamond.asp?find=1&cid=130&item=1026252. Here are the Sarin and IS. I''m intregued by the strong flourescence a bit, but at the same time worried. What are your opinions.

+ wide corners
+ good light return
+ decent patterns
+ strong fluorescence (as long as its not oily looking in sunlight)
..
- deep and spread is down a bit
- some minor symmetry errors
- off square to a point I would see it.
