Well, I am wearing my Aurora of course!

I came thissssss close to selling it. I actually had the buyer's money in my PayPal account and went to FedEx to drop it off... and FedEx was closed. In the intervening time it took to get back there again, I saw the light and realized I was a dumb a$$ to even think of selling it. I wore it all day today and fell in love all over again. Its a keeper Thankfully the buyer was very understanding when I sent the money back and said I was keeping it. An Lesley at BGD proved she is once again a saint, dealing with people like me. My mom came to help me with the kids yesterday while my husband was away. Her boyfriend asked me to hide the OEC ring in her luggage so he would have it for today, their 38th "monthaversary", and the day he wants to propose. I did it, and then e-mailed to tell him where it was.

I got this message today. GIves good perspective to anyone who has DSS:

Apparently every month on the date they met my mom's boyfriend does something special involving fruit. Not sure of the significance, but he is rather eccentric.

This morning he got up before my mom and made a heart with blueberries on a plate and put the ring in the middle. Then he went back to bed and told my mom that because it was their monthaversary it was her turn to get the coffee

She went out and found the plate and the ring and started crying. Then he came out and proposed. She said yes. It all sounded very romantic!

My mom is a former hippie who never wanted to get married and settle down. She has softened in her old age, and all for the better. I am really happy for her.
