I put together a video of my civil war artifacts collection. Can you guys let me know if I got it right?

I think you would have much better luck finding a Civil war forum. I would think they would know a lot more about the
items than we would...we're mostly a diamond forum. Good luck!

Grommet is modern it was made on a punch press.
The description of the bullets are way off.
For example: spinning a bullet does not make it come out faster, there is more drag in the barrel so speed is lost.
What it does is stabilize the bullet so it flies straighter and more accurately. This allows aimed accurate fire at longer ranges.
Th average gun used on both sides had little advantage in range and accuracy. The confederacy employed a far greater percentage of trained marksman with upgraded firearms than the north.
Exploding bullets were something totally different, they actually had small amounts of powder in them designed to be set off by impact.
They were often more dangerous to the shooter than the target, blowing up in the gun or even when being carried.
Neat collection, thanks for sharing.

Infection killed more people who were shot than the direct damage from getting shot by a huge order of magnitude.
Even more were killed by illnesses.
