I need your help again! Setting advisement

Yesterday I received my holy grail asscher from Yoram and I’m over the moon.
While it would be great to have a custom ring, I don’t have the patience for the process, and want something plain & simple anyway.
When I got my OEC I put it in a Stuller temp, and I like it so much I’ll probably never change it.
Does anyone have advice on the best place to get a stock setting like a Stuller, etc. and have it modified to fit my stone? I don’t have anyone local I trust and I want it very well done.

I would like to spend under 2K. My Stuller was $450! Lol worth every penny, lovely setting.

Dk has access to stuller mounts if you go that route. What size is your stone?

If you really want a plain solitaire, the one Niel posted looks good. It's just that the head won't be made for the size of your stone. They'll be stretching to fit it in a 7.0mm head. I'd honestly even have DK make a custom solitaire over trying to use a stock setting that won't be a perfect fit for your stone.

I am sure if you want to use DK, he can make the antique design ring you like. But if you don't want to do custom at all and want an antique design, Beverley K has a few pretty options.

But let me add, almost every jeweler in the US carries Stuller. So if you want a Stuller stock setting, you don't need to send your diamond to DK to set it.

Do you have your new Yoram asscher to set AND the bungled bezel stone to reset? Are you looking for similar styles, or different styles (you mention stock stuller for both).

I really like both of those that DS posted for a vintagey flair. A $2K budget will certainly open up more options than just a "stock stuller" although, you can also piece together components (from stuller), as I did in my avatar ring.

Your new stone is so awesome! Can't wait to see what you decide.

I only mention dk because he has good finishing and she asked for someone she trusts. But you’re right.

I just figured if she sent it to DK, she may as well have him custom make one to exactly fit her stone. He's so reasonable in cost anyway.

After my resent experience with the bezel-bungle I am quite afraid to trust anyone we don’t know well! My bench is moving shop and won’t be back in production until next year.
Two asschers, yes. The first was originally in an SK and I may reset it in that.
The only reason I bought the bunglebezel was that the jeweler said the SK prongs could not be made slightly smaller, and I believed him. A total senior moment.

He can make a basket setting for an asscher. That's totally fine if you want a solitaire to wear with bands!

I think the Stuller setting is similar to that. But if you wanna pay for one custom designed I support you implicitly! Frankly I’m this age of halos cluster rings pave everything a soli has a statement feel to it.

Haha. Sad. I bet SK could make his own prongs do whatever he wanted. Just sayin. The new stone tho, that one will need something in its own right.

I wonder though since everyone says how fast DK is. I bet he could do a custom fit solitaire very quickly. That asscher though.....be still my beating heart!!!!
