Hi PS'ers. It's that time for me again. My LaPousette backs have given out after 6 1/2 years.
I need to have my studs re-set and want to overnight them to NYC today. However, I don't think I want the same backs this time. The last time I was looking for jackets, I was at a vendor who showed me some new backs that were similar to LaPousette, but they were also like a rubber center so that in addition to catching on the two safety grooves of the post, they stayed securely against your eyes while you wearing them.
The LaPousette doesn't stay agsainst the ear very well, or for very long. It is especially difficult for them to stay against your ears when one is wearing jackets. I hate droopy diamonds.
I'm constantly nagging my daughter to push hers in and I constantly have to the same.
I think these new ones will work, but I can't remember what they are called and I can't find images of them online. However, I did find "Chrystmela Catch" earring backs that look promising except they they seem to stay locked only on the post groove, which will still cause droopy studs.
I have friction backs for my sapphire studs and while I love them and they stay put, I am too afraid to use them for my studs and jackets. My grandsom already pulled them off my ear once and that freaked me out. I would rather my ear get shreaded and I start bleeding before I see my earrings on the floor.
I can't wear screw backs.
Can anyone help me?
