I am extremley confused. If the Wflash is an ACA Cut why does it rate a 1.8 in HTC as opposed to the Excellent Cut from James Allen's?

I mean ofcourse I am torn between the size of JAllens being bigger but Wflash's is one color better and supposedly a better cut. If so why is rating lower on HTC?

Are you talking about the HCA tool? If so then a 1.6 isn't better than a 1.8, etc. Anything under 2.0 is rated as excellent. I might be wrong but I believe I have seen that explained a few times.

The ACA line has already been evaluated and given ideal light performance by AGL so the HCA tool doesn't even matter.

Have you requested additional information on the James Allen diamond? They will send you idealscope images of 3 diamonds so if there is another one on their site you like request it too.

Who has the setting you like?

It looks like the Whiteflash diamond has been sold.

That was a typo. It should have said AGS. AGS evaluates light performance. On that whiteflash certificate is says the light performance is 0 Ideal.

The IS image looks very good. What's the price difference? Can you give us a link to the JA stone?
what do you think your Girlfriend would like better? Larger size or a step up in color? Have you asked
if the JA stone is eye-clean?

Now, I do think she would want a larger stone but I am afraid it will show a bit of yello since it is an J color.

I am torn because the WF is their ACA Cut and the JA is their Excellent Cut not their best but its bigger.

The price of the JA is about $700 cheaper. I am also going with a very simple setting in case we upgrade later. Also WF's upgrade policy is better.

Ohh I forgot to mention that JAllen's response to me was that "Most people would consider the stone Eyeclean."
Im not so sure how to take that.
