my fiance came home from hospital today!

he is far from 100% well, but is now on oral antibiotics.

he is very tired, and has just fallen asleep on the couch beside me, poor thing.

i admit, we spent a lot of time hugging and cuddling today, and getting even more determined to marry.

thank you all for your warm wishes, dust and prayers.

he is not out of the woods yet, but we are on the road to recovery.

i love you all!

He lost 6kg in weight in 3 weeks! His appetite is now back with a vengeance.

He's going to look great for the wedding though

It was very frightening to hear he needed a high-dependency unit when he first came in. It made my blood run cold. He had abnormal kidney and liver function as well as rigors, diarrhoea, vomiting. His temperature was so high, he needed iv paracetamol as oral was not touching him. He was a hair from multiple organ failure. I wish I could post his CT scan on here so you could see that the entire right upper lobe of his lung was replaced by dense infection!

He knows I've been posting here and thanks you all for your kind thoughts!

Moral of the story: if you are ill for more than 5 days, even if you don't have a cough and only viral symptoms, see your doctor!
