I NEED HELP!!!!!

Hey ladies!!

I''m new to the Pricescope world and already I''m addicted!

I love how everyone is sooo supportive! And I''m thinking I need some MAJOR help!! I am hoping to get engaged within the next year or so, and I am slowly dropping hints to my boyfriend about what I like. I am absolutely IN LOVE with Emerald Cut solitaire rings! And just recently I discovered pave and micropave rings. I like very thin eternity bands with just the Emerald diamond, as well as a matching wedding band. Am I being too picky? I came across the Ritani website and love their eternity bands! My dream ring would be that eternity ring with an emerald cut solitaire with the matching wedding band that lays flush with the engagement ring. Sorry I''m so repetitive. The only bad thing is, in my search in the weeeeee hours of the morning (because I''m obsessed with emerald cuts) I have not found one like I have described! If anyone can help me find my dream ring... I would greatly appreciate you!!

It''s hard to have an eternity band sit flush with an emerald cut. Maybe you have a pic or link of the setting you''re referring too. btw, I have a Ritani eternity band so I know the allure

oh gosh... since I''m new I dont really know how to work this but bear with me... I''m workin on it! first i have a few questions for ya...

1) do emerald cut solitaire''s all need the basket setting?
2) if so, is that why its hard for them to sit flush with the wedding band?
3) if not, where the heck can i find them at?!?!

i saw a thread just a while ago, her name is ttmd. and i absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE her ring and they sit flush, but she did say it was custom made (if that has anything to do with the rings sitting flush)... and well my boyfriend isn''t made of money.. so thats a slight problem! ha! i love that ring, but i like how Ritani has the bands smoothe, unlike ttmd''s is a little textured. anyway, if you know how to get to ttmd''s pictures you will see what i am talking about. i would put it on here but im not really sure how! thanks for your help!!

Emerald settings usually do not allow for a flush fit and most are custom made. I believe it's because the head prevents it from doing so (I'm sure the experts here have more detailed terminology on whether it's because of a basket setting or not). Why don't you just buy the engagement ring now and wait until you have more money/get married for the custom band?

well that sounds tempting because i do Love the bling... but i like the more traditional/old fashioned route like, the asking my parents for permission, not living together before marriage etc. kinda crazy huh? anyway, i guess i am just trying to educate myself about emeralds as much as possible so i could possibly drop more hints to the BF about it. i think i know a good deal, but not nearly as much as MANY of the women on this website! i am very much in shock and awe of everything! well i guess if you have any ideas or suggestions, please hit me up!!

Happy, Ritani makes a solitaire with an eternity band in their Endless Love collection, where all the bands fit flush regardless of the shape or size of the center diamond. See link:

I tried on the halo style with an eternity band on either side and they are so COOL! The advantage is that you can wear all the rings together, or just the bands if you want.

Thank you so much NeverEnding!! I had originally got my idea from Ritani but I wasnt sure if the wedding band would sit flush with the ering even if it is an emerald cut, and thats exactly what i want! every emerald cut I have seen wouldnt allow the wedding band to sit flush! YOU MADE MY DAY!!! sooo now... i''m wondering prices.... do you know the prices of just the eternity wedding band? and possibly the going price of a ring exactly like the Ritani except with an ideal cut emerald diamond? i may be asking a way too complex question but it''s worth a shot since you seem to know a bit about Ritani! Thanks a million!!
