Hello!

I need your help! I am very close to choosing a diamond for an engagement ring and i have narrowed it down to three (3). I need your help in choosing the best diamond. What i basically want is to choose a diamond that will look the whitest and the biggest from the top. It will be set on a 18k white gold ring with 5 diamonds on each side.

Here is the link to the setting

is there a big difference between an H and I color with no flouresence?

The higher the Table% the bigger the diamond looks?

Please let me know which one will best fulfill my request! Thank you very much!

Ok, regrettably I can't tell you anything about your selections, as they are not in house diamonds with any info or images provided....Fancy shapes such as Princess can't be properly evaluated by numbers, images and detailed photos are essential. I would recommend checking out these vendors as they have in house Princess of good cut quality they can show you -

www.highperformancediamonds.com

www.whiteflash.com

www.goodoldgold.com

These vendors stock excellent Princess.

I notice you linked a Whiteflash diamond, they are an excellent company but the diamond you linked is not an inventory diamond, but one which is commonly advertised with many vendors from the virtual listing. Ask Whiteflash what they have available which might suit you from their inventory diamonds. As to Blue Nile, they do stock AGS0 cut grade Princess which are of known cut quality, however I believe it is best to not assume anything even with these diamonds hence the importance of images and detailed photos so you can pick the one which appeals to you the most - however BN do not offer such services.

Also don't go by vendor applied labels such as Very Good cut, Ideal cut etc, the only meaningful use of the term Ideal pertains to AGS0 cut grade diamonds, any other use to describe a diamond's cut may not be accurate and no guarantee of a well cut diamond.

Colour - it is said that some may begin to notice a slight hint of warmth especially from the side in an I colour, however that isn't a problem for the majority of Princess buyers by all accounts, if you aren't sure then see if you can view some similarly cut, shape and lab graded Princess in person.

Table -some schools of thought say that a larger table can give the illusion of a diamond looking larger but this can be at the expense of performance. Aim to get the best cut Princess you can and it will show a good size for its weight from superior cutting and edge to edge light return.

Clarity - unless you really want VVS clarity, VS or even some eyeclean SI can be excellent choices and no visual sacrifice.
