Good morning all,

I am thankful I found this site before I made a purchase. I am in the market for a diamond and would like the help of those more knowledgeable than I when it comes to diamonds. I believe I have narrowed down the diamonds I am interested within my budget ($3000). Where I need help is finding the best diamond in this group, or others for that matter.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

the ones you are looking at are their virtual selection which will cost you money to bring it in. They did tell me that they just got some beautiful in house diamonds above 0.75ct in and they should be up in these few days. Any reason you want vvs1 or if clarity?
for that size of a diamond it should be completely eye clean when it's VS2 or above and you wouldn't really be able to tell the difference with your naked eyes at that point. So I'd suggest you look into the H VS2 range and get a bigger diamond for your money

I would not buy a princess I could see, or at least have asset images for. And I agree with the clarity a vs2 will be eyeclean so I don't see paying a premium for that hight of clarity unless that is what you want:)

I don't see a ton of options from WF right now, but here are some other options

I don't know what kind of pricescope discount they give you would have to call

Thank you to minmin001, maxmin and farmer gal for the suggestions. I guess I am just ignorant when it comes to diamonds and figured the higher clarity meant better. What you, minmin001, mentioned makes perfect sense. I have contacted goodoldgold regarding the diamond farmer gal mentioned. From the little information I have gathered the Aset and DiamXray images for this particular diamond seems very good. Am I correct?

Thank you again for the help and suggestions

VVS is a waste of money. You would be paying for something you can not see. I have a VS1 diamond and I can't see ANYTHING in it even with a 10x loupe. If I had the option of getting lower clarity with my diamond I totally would have. Princesses a have very busy facets and are constantly in rapid fire motion you will not see anything in that particular VS2 diamond. Seriously you are going to have to HUNT for those inclusions for with a loupe just to be sure they are there!

I REALLY like the GOG princess and think you've gotten great advice. Now all you have to do is take it!

Would this diamond be a better choice than the one I mentioned above? I guess I keep going back to the clarity thing. This one is a VVS1 as opposed to the VS2 of the other. I may just need to let go of the clarity issue I'm having and heed the advice of the more educated suggestions of the members here.

i'd suggest concentrate more on cut than clarity as people already mentioned anything over vs2 or even si1 should be fine as long as its eye clean. a better cut diamond also make it look bigger. the measurement of this 0.76 is smaller compared to the 0.73 ct h/vs2 diamond. there are lot of information under knowledge section on this site, you should read through them. I just purchased e-ring myself, i ended up with a h/vs2 ags0 ideal cut diamond that sparkles like crazy and couldn't be happier.
