Hi Im new to this world , so Im nervous and antzy about getting the right ring for right price, my budget would be around 5,000 but today I went to a recommnede jeweler with a friend who purchased his e-ring for his wife there, they were great but im not sure if im getting a good deal - I was looking at a 3 stone and the center diamond is 1.00 ct , H, Si- the cut is a good cut they are very selective in their diamonds they choose is what they say now they say they are giving me a good deal that this ring is worth 12,000 and since I was refered I get it at 6100.00 its beatriful but its a little outta my budget. Now I could go for same diamond and same ring .75 ct for 4800.00 . Im worried its not such a great deal . what I do, the sales people were not pushy they let me leave and wanted me to feel comfortable. Are these both good deals , im soorry but im not looking online i know its cheaper but i cant.

H SI(?) Does it come with a major lab report? To me, no deal without a GIA or AGS report (or perhaps some smaller boutique labs that I know have a good reputation.)

thanks for replying its an Si1 and the price is for everything, yes also they do have the report
oh yeah if i didnt mention its white gold

Is it a .75 center in a 3 stone ring?

If you don''t think feel that it''s a good deal, do you have somewhere you could go to get a good deal?

And for the sake of thoroughness, if you could get a copy of the report or the GIA number, that would be good.

yes thats for the center stone i could choose either the .75 or 1.0ct thats only the center stone, for the .75 (whole three stone ring inclu other two stones 4800 +tax) or the 1.0 ct center (6100+tax) its white gold and they call it trellis style. its not that I feel i could get a better deal because I really dont know whats a good deal with this stuff but I guess i just want to know that im not over paying.

Putting those pieces together at online prices .75 H SI1 cts, 3 stone ring would be 4K or less. So I think the piece you're looking at is priced ok provided that the stone has excellent cut (if the cut grade says "good" on the GIA report, then it's priced too high, IMO)

I see the trellis setting now... seems like a reasonable price.
