I need help finding a diamond - and what is a semi-remount?!

Hi, all. I was originally going for the James Allen "common prong" setting and thought that I had picked a good diamond out, but after reading feedback on the stone, I changed my mind. I'm now looking at a setting from I.D Jewelry (http://www.idjewelryonline.com/product_info.php?products_id=2660) and would love some help finding a good diamond for it. The ID setting is a semi-remount and quite honestly, I have no idea what that means. It wasn't a setting option while designing my own ring, so I don't know if I'll run in to any problems putting a loose diamond in it. I'm assuming I'll need to buy the setting and diamond seperately so any diamond from any source is good for me.

I have a 3k budget for the stone and am looking for a round, .80 ct and up, no lower than J color and as far as clarity .. if it looks good than I'm sold. Everything I've read on the PS forums says to always go for the ideal cut so I guess that's a given. I trust ya'lls advice so any diamonds you could find/help me with are always appreciated!

Semi round? Do you mean semi mount? If you mean semi mount it just means it doesn't include the diamond.

ETA: Sorry, see that you edited. Just means that it doesn't include the diamond.

There are some settings on the site that say semi-mount but this one says semi-remount?

0.81 H VS2, $3068

0.83 J VS1, $ 2480

Here you go Momma, these are a hair under .80 which you will never see, and going with these vendors you also get upgrade benefits should that ever be a consideration. These should all be in budget if you pay by bank wire. With SI clarities the usual advice applies, check with the vendor that the diamond is eyeclean to your standards.
