Hi all,
I absolutely love my e-ring, but it's a low-profile setting with a 2.24ct diamond, so finding a band that works with it has been impossible. Here are some pics (the quality isn't great, but i think they illustrate the curved area that causes the problems):

Any ideas for a solution that can be found online? I don't have a good jeweller capable of a custom job in my area. Has anyone seen a spacer designed to even settings like this out, so I could also wear a band? The bands I've tried so far (including curved ones) get too close to the micropave on the setting.

I'm just lost. Help is greatly appreciated!

Your ring is to die for.

Sorry I'm not more help. Please post what you find :)

the elsa peretti ring sits pretty low. and your ring is GORGEOUS btw!! Can you post more pics from a front view?

Have you actually gotten a professional opinion on a spacer (in other words, has a jeweler actually said to you that you need a spacer)? I ask because I thought for sure that I needed a spacer in between my halo and my diamond eternity band, but a jeweler (that I trusted) said that I really didn't need one.

Yeah you dont need a "spacer" as you say, because there is no diamonds in the band and lower basket/ donut area so... no diamonds to scratch up an adjacent band. However, Ill assume you probably mean just a band to pair with it?

Do you hate the gap? I ask because the easiest thing to do would be embrace the gap! I LOOOVE a gap between rings, reminds me im wearing two, not one. Plus, it has a sort of effortless chic about it. But i know, thats just my opinion.

If you were ok with the gap, id get a graphic band that says "im not form fit and i love it" like this singlestone band or david class one. SS on the top, DK on the bottom.

If you feel you NEED a form fit band...hmmmmm

you might need more than this but this would get you closer to your goal

Thanks all. The jewellers I've shown it, unfortunately, haven't been much help. One said my only option is a ring guard/wrap... and I'm not at all fond of the look of those, personally. I think that if I could find a band with a really low rise I wouldn't need a spacer. I've just found that most bands I've tried on so far are rise high enough that they get very close to the micropave on the e-ring. If my finger were in action, they'd be in contact.

Niel- I think I may just have to learn to embrace the gap... I like the look of the gap on other people... I just get a little compulsive about it when it's on my own hand. If I can find a nice low-rise (like, <1.3mm) band, I think that would be my best bet. I'd also prefer a diamond-less band, so that lessens the need for a spacer as well I guess. What do you mean by a graphic band?

Hmmm... I think some time on eBay is in order!

You could have someone make a custom band for you.

I'd get something custom made. There are a ton of etsy jewelers that made these spacer bands and can probably custom make one.

On another note: we need more pics of your e-ring! It looks vaguely familiar.

I'd get Grace to make you a matching band if you don't want a gap. Nothing else is going to match perfectly. I prefer a straight band myself.

Found a dainty antique platinum band. I think it works. Embracing the gap :)

Perfect!!!
I personally think thats 10000% more elegant than any modern curved band you could have found. And that gap is yummy!

Thanks!
I think the modern bands I'd been looking at were just too thick and/or shiny. This band is about 1.6mm thick, and I absolutely adore the contrast in texture and polish.

LOVE this and love a gap -- it really lets the shape of each ring show!! Looks great! :appl: :appl:
