I haven't liked my name for a while, to me it sounds too formal and pretentious and that's not a reflection of who I am.

I'm terrible at this so anyone care to make a suggestion. I'd like "Steph" in there somewhere I was thinking of putting "vintage" in too. No idea.

Yes this is very first world problem but I thought maybe a fun distraction.
 
Would vintagesteph make you sound older than you actually are? ;)2
 
How about Stephanie? Beautiful name.
 
On IG I’m missylovesvintage so if you want to add vintage something similar? But I can’t think of anything that isn’t a mouthful lol.
 
@Niffler, LOL! Right that's my worry is I'm going to sound 40 years older than I am!

@missy, I would love to just use Stephanie but it's already been taken, so I have to add something to it. Thank you though, Stephanie is my real first name :)

I like StephanieLynn. I don’t think it sounds formal. But of course you have to like it. I think it’s a lovely name.
 
How do you change your name here? I didn't know you could do that. I won't bother, but I have a different name on everything, lol. Probably why people don't know who I am anywhere else. I like StephSparkles or VintageSteph.

@lyra you have to email admin and ask and they’ll change your name for you if you’d like.

I am eternally grateful to "Enerchi" who so cleverly came up with my PS name.
I wonder what happened to her. She was so sweet and enthusiastic about everything.
 
@Rubies-R-Me, so glad to hear others have sought out assistance with a name! There are so many clever names on PS and not to single anyone out but @RunningwithScissors is one of my faves, reminds me of this clip from Cheers:

I like irreverent names. Or odd old song lyrics. And its good to make fun of oneself a bit.

I almost signed up as ShakingLikeMilk (from a The Cure song) or DriveByGirl (because I'll occasionally throw out an inflammatory opinion).

Is there a band you like? We could mine their lyrics for inspiration.

Oh DriveByGirl is pretty cool! As for bands, I'm kind of all over the place, an 80's kid so my Pandora goes back that far but off the top of my head for my current stuff:

Amy Winehouse
Red Hot Chili Peppers

I also dig The Beatles
