I miss my pug....

Anyone have to board your pet for a holiday?

We are going to Vegas from Friday to Sunday, but since my little guy has a bunch of medical issues we prefer to board him at the Vet''s in case anything should come up. But because of the holiday we had to drop him off today and and he has to stay there until they open on Monday.

I don''t mind being away from him when we are away, but sitting in this empty quiet house without him sucks!

And when I dropped him off today they failed to tell me that they were closing early today so I didn''t get to call tonight and see if he is okay. I''m sure he''s fine but knowing I can''t call until Friday morning is making me worry. I am also so mad at myself for giving directions verbally instead of writing things down for them! Ugh!!!!

I just hope he is okay.

aw thanks skippy. DH is not making me feel better about it! He is getting worried too and keeps asking me "you''re sure they know about X, right?" and "What about his feet, you told them about that right?" So he''s just as bad as I am.

You mean you miss the snoring, snorting, snorkel-sounds and that wonderful pug smell you get when he's 3 feet away??? I'm leaving mine for an overnight, too.

I'm sure your little guy will be alright.

Ha ha! Exactly! You know he sleeps across my legs and for some reason I go out of my way to contort myself so as to not disturb the pug! Ahhh at least I am going to get better sleep for the net few days!

your fur baby! I am with my doggie right now, but most of the time I am not..and I definitely miss her so I know how you feel.

Aww, Mia, he''s going to be fine! The vet knows him well and I''m sure he''s familiar with all of the issues--you couldn''t have left him in more capable hands. You''ll see him in just a few days!! Don''t forget to have fun!

OH honey - I understand your pain - I think all of us who dearly love our furbabies do.

I''m sure that your vet is taking excellent care of your little pug, and that if anything at all had come up, they would have contacted you immediately. I hope you are able to relax a bit today and enjoy the holiday, and I''m sure your little guy will be just fine.

Well I''m sure he''s fine, but the main reason I am worried is because he isn''t at HIS vet, it''s another one. We usually board him at his vet but this year they booked up early so we took him to another one down the street. Still, I think it''s better for him then any other boarder, but I worry that they don''t know all his issues. I explained as best as I could when dropping him off, so hopefully they got it. He must be fine though, since they''d call if something happened.

At least I can take comfort that I think he is most likely enjoying himself. He is a total sell-out and not the type of dog that misses his owners. As long as he is getting attention, he''s happy.

We are back from Vegas and just need to wait one more night to pick him up.

I didn''t get to call all weekend due to their shorter holiday hours so I am hoping he is okay. At least I know nothing serious happened or they would have called me.

Can''t wait to have him asleep on my lap!
