No.....I''ve got it. It''s part of a new designer collection that offers greater flexibility. You put that baby in a setting that let''s you remove the stone when you choose to turn it upside down on it''s table and you you put a candle in it.

Kewl......why didn''t I think of this designer line. I could make millions. Yeah.....that''s the ticket.....

Anyone care for a diamond dublet?

Cute!

Not loving the idea of that thing in a four prong solitaire, anyone expecting brilliance out of diamond would have a shock

But there should be some appropriate use for a primitive looking diamond out these - where rose cuts fit, this one should too.

Believe it or not, some people love this kind of open culet...

WOW - The picture reminds me of KIMBERLEY''s DIAMOND HOLE IN SOUTH AFRICA - te-hee!
(I was born in S.A and visited the hole once...boring town but massive hole...)

Little blurb about Kimberley''s hole...

The name Kimberley is synonymous worldwide with diamonds. In 1871 on a small hill which became known as Colesberg Koppie (later Kimberley) diamonds were found and within a few months there were over 30 000 men toiling in an area roughly 300m by 200m.The big hole which yielded 14,5 million carats of diamonds from 28 million tons of "blue ground" dominates the city of Kimberley and it is quite an awesome sight. It is dormant now but the Kimberley Mine Museum recreates what it was like in its heyday. Kimberley was not always peaceful and prosperous and some of the most decisive Anglo-Boer War battles were fought around here. In 1899 the Siege of Kimberley lasted 124 days with the entire town including Cecil Rhodes besieged inside. For four months the town was subjected to sporadic gunfire, and the women and children were sent down into the De Beers Mine to protect them from shelling.

see... I think that stone would be PERFECT over a high polished rhodium mirrored band under the culet... that way when you looked up close you could see your eyeball looking back! bahahaha :D

Perhaps one could put a small colored gemstone in there. That would be ummmm.....interesting.

I can''t believe some people actually look for a culet like this. I would want a discount because part of the stone is missing

I imagine you''d probably get one. Depending on where you bought it.

or pay a premium..., since you will have a hard time finding one if you''d look for one...
