I lied, i said i would leave it alone

I don't think that is a picture of your actual diamond. The measurements on your stone indicate a more rectangular diamond than the one in the picture. I think that picture is used to represent all cushion cut diamonds from the site.

Anyway, EGL-Israel is reputed to have the loosest grading out of all the EGLs so if yours is a J, it's possible that it could really be graded a K or L by GIA.

Like I said, it's hard for me to determine the stone cost individual of the ring cost so I can't tell if you overpaid for the stone. Does Marisa Perry work with outside stones? Would it be possible to purchase the stone from, say, James Allen and have Marisa Perry set it?

What do you want help with?

EGl Israel is in all likelihood not going to be accurate with their grading. Some people say they tend to be 1-2 grades off compared to GIA, others say more. And that's the problem. How can you get accurate comps if you don't know what you have?

Im realizing i am becoming more concerned with whats on paper than what i saw with my eyes. I loved the stone and I'm just going to be happy with the choice I made and hopefully the ring will be beautiful.

You should be concerned as to what's on that paper, that's how (mostly) the price is determined. Inflated grades = inflated prices.

That's great! I hope you will be happy with your choice. If you do change your mind, there is lots of info available on PS and people to help you pick out another stone. Here's a guide from Charmy on how to make a Harry Winston inspired halo - there is some useful info on the different cushion types too.

At the end of the day, $7K isn't a lot for an e-ring, and the design you chose looks lovely.

I had to do a little sleuthing but I did find a picture of the Marisa Perry Larissa online - it's a gorgeous setting, and should look lovely with the cushion that you and your fiance picked out. I agree with sortmom - you're getting lot of "look" for the money. I hope all your doubts disappear once you have that lovely sparkler on your finger!

EGL Israel will be 3-4 color grades off making it a M/N color. EGL USA can be accurate or 1-2 colors grades off. I would not buy a cushion modified brilliant with an EGL Israel cert. unless it was an OMB or cushion brilliant and I could view it in person. It is more than likely the crushed ice which means there is a lot of leakage. OMB's and cushion brilliants are rare...keep looking and find one in your budget. The cushion experts in PS will help you locate a nice cushion.

Oh, I see you saw it in person, liked it and bought it. I'm sure your ring will be beautiful.
