I just wanna say -- the random comments thread

I am making a couple hundred cookies (black and whites) to take to Teen Challenge (drug rehab). Next Sunday will be three months since my son got there. He is doing really well but
it is hard.

I think I spend more on him now than when he lived at home. I am bringing a trunk full of items with me. I pray he makes it.

When we get to San Diego we will go to Costco and get 12 pizzas to bring for all the people there. We will get to see him for about 15 minutes.

I hope your visit goes well luv, and I''m wishing your son all the best.

I find it pathetic that girls I cut off communication with back in February are STILL cyber stalking me on pricescope and then posting things I write on their facebook profile for others to read. Apparently I''m a moron because we originally were ttc and then DH lost his job so we put it on hold. Call me nuts, but last I checked that was the responsible thing to do??

SmurfyI -- congratulations on sticking to your decision to keep these people out of your life!

It''s hard enough dealing with the things life throws our way some times... no need to invite trouble in!

Smurfy That''s terrible. I hope you are not FB friends with these girls.

DEFINITELY not and as of now they have been reported for cyber bullying and harassment, so tired of dealing with this. why can''t people just worry about their own lives?

I think you made the right choice with putting off TTC. Don''t let your old "friends" tell you otherwise.

They must really have nothing better to do with their time if they are still coming here and reading your posts and using them to harass you. Really girls, get a life!

Sorry about that crap, smurphy. Def the right and responsible thing to do right now. We are putting it off bc I finally am starting an internship in 3 weeks that will last 6 mos and cuts my pay in half. You''ll know when thye time is best,

We just plunked out $4500 on a new air conditioner and heat pump system. Its really efficient and will save us a ton on heating/cooling...but uuugggggghhhh I hated seeing that money go. I "saved" us $500 bc I picked the company we ended up using. They put in the wrong system. Serisously...who does that? The guy tried explaining it away, but my husband gave him some hell, so he said he could either give us the new system (it was a more expensive system we ordered) or he would knock the price down. Umm, sure!

smurfy- people can be so mean sometimes.

ignore them... they must have pretty boring lives!

This icky humid hot weather is doing wonders for my figure.

It's too hot to want anything hot or rich, and it's too much effort to prepare something else, so my meals have been fruit from the fruit bowl five feet away for the last few days.

so true!

I know you''re married, so you must be over 18, Smurfy, but seriously, are these girls 10 years old or something?!

Yssie - I''m right there with you. Right now all I want is water and fruit. I can''t believe I"m actually cooking tonight.

Smurfy - I think it is time for you to sit down for some evaluation. It sounds like you are dealing with a lot of drama from people. You need to take the time to really assess who your friends are. You also need to set some boundaries with your family. Apparently it isn''t just your friends reading your PS posts and judging you by them... it is your family to. You need to address that, as it is really none of their business. From what I gather your parents tend to provide to you a lot, and I get that, because my family does too, but I think you need to take a step back, regain some independence, and really lay it down that though you appreciate everything that your family does, it does not give them grounds to know every detail of your life and oversee it.

I definitely think you made the right choice in holding off TTC and honestly, I''d say wait until you are both a bit older and know you are financially secure and in stable long term jobs. You have to remember that you just changed jobs recently as well, and I''m betting the new place wouldn''t be thrilled to have you on maternity already. Heck, most places wouldn''t grant you a day off this early!

I''m saying this because I truly want you to have a happy life and be a strong and independent woman who can make good choices for herself and her family. You cannot continue to live a life filled with drama, anxiety, he said she said, rumors and silly FB statuses. Could you imagine if you were raising kids and dealing with that mess?

((hugs)) those people suck by the way.

Smurf sorry these d-bags are affecting you in such a major way. Perhaps now''s the time to take a PS break or really change your screen name, etc so they have a harder time stalking you? I mean it''s really immature of them, quite ridiculous actually, but if you''re trying to send a big eff you by continuing to post then you''re really missing the mark and just feeding into their bullsh*t.

My DD landed safely in Hong kong. 20 hour flight. She''s there visiting a dear friend from Penn, who was her big sis at Tri Delt. She''s been working at an investement bank for the past year, and is fluent in Chinese.. She joked to Ash, please for the love of god, leave the Lilly Pulitzer at home...

Guessing they don''t love color huh?? Just kidding.. She packed all neutrals..

Reading the book ''Push'' (I think it''s re-named to ''Precious'' in the US) and I can''t stop bawling. I was reading the book on the train and was sobbing throughout. Had to cover my eyes with big black shades. How can someone inflict so much pain?

Hey just wanted to quick say that i changed my name a couple of days ago and just wanted to add in that while I do think we should wait to be more financially secure; age will have nothing to do with it. We are excited to start as soon as possible :) My workplace is completely on board with us having to take maternity leave and actually am asked at least once or twice a month if we are going to start trying soon lol. I've got 2 or 3 days off scheduled already for the upcoming month as well (wedding) so they are really great :) And one other point I wanted to address- we receive no help whatsoever from my parents. Cut off. Zip. Nada. :) Thanks for all the encouragement guys.

Do you ever read a post on PS and get the sudden urge to click the "like" button?

If only!

I''m so used to using Facebook that I want to click "like" on everything!

Perhaps we can add this feature to the elusive PS 2.0

That''s how I felt throughout the movie. My sister and I bawled so much, it was ridiculous. How can someone WITHSTAND all of that pain? She just couldn''t get a break.

I don''t think I could handle the book OR the movie. I want to read/see them but..I don''t know if I can!

I didn''t think I could either! I was going through a rough time, so I was extra emotional. I have to say, as hard as it was to watch, it also put things into perspective.

I must be the only person on a planet who really did not like Push.

I feel like if one removes the graphic intercouse details and swearing there's not much left. The language was at times fully impossible to get through (edit: someone who can spell "discipline" can surely spell "math"...) Worse, though, the whole premise of the book offended me - it's not a true story, it's not based on a true story, it's entirely the product of someone's imagination and making it SO over-the-top shocking didn't make me sympathize with the character, it irritated me, because I would consider any one of the issues she had to work through more than enough material for an inspiring - and yes, shocking - tale.

It was like reading a "new and improved, extra horrifying" the colour purple, and I frankly much prefer the original.

I really thought it was based on a true story! I guess I should pay better attention.

I think it's supposed to be "realistic fiction" but it's not based on any one person's actual experiences or story.

Yes, I looked it up after reading your first comment. I guess since I didn''t know that before watching the film, it doesn''t really change my opinion, but I see how knowing this beforehand would have just made it all unnecessary. The whole time, I just kept thinking, "Can this girl get a break?" Well, now I know the author was just cruel.

We finally made it back home, which we''re really happy about. Now, it''s apartment hunting time. We won''t be able to get anything close to what we had in the south (in terms of amt. of space and the price of rent) but that''s okay.

I've been trying to order our iphones for the last hour or so.. and it won't go through.. omg.. i could scream.

ETA: but plants vs zombies HD is AWESOME on ipad.

looooove it.

I haven't slept yet. I need to sleep. I think it's fiance turn to stalk the apple site/ store

I, too, was under the impression that the book was based on a true story. Now that I know it isn''t, I would completely agree with your assessment above. Huh.
