Who gives people the right to judge and comment on what I am buying?
There was a lady in front trying to write a check in the express lane that was no checks so while listening to that exchange I forgot to get the root beer that I wanted. I politely asked someone beind me to hand me one. Then she asked if I wanted to put anything back. Um, no. Then the single man between us started talking about what I was buying. I handled it well and laughed it off but I always thought it was protocol to not comment on what others are buying. One of them said "On a diet?" after noticing my salad and a single slice of birthday cake.
Had I been in one of my more fierce moods I could have said to the lady "Flow heavy?" As all she was buying was a jumbo sized package of super absorbant extra long sanitary napkins. Which by the way, I walked by on my way to salad bar and saw her discussing the different types with her less than willing male companion.
It sounds like something that would happen in a sitcom.
