I just figured out PS's "Edit # of times" thingie

If nobody posts after you, you can edit your post and you will not get that dreaded footer telling everyone how many times you posted.

If someone does post after you it starts keeping track and telling everyone how many times you have posted.

Watch, someone will post that they already knew that, it is obvious, everyone knows that, you mean you just finally figured that out!?! Hahaha ... to make Kenny look stupid since it's Crap on Kenny Day.

I'm actually more of a Cover My Backside editor, I think.

I'll make a statement and realise on re-read that it's too general, or not specific enough, so I'll fix it to detail exactly what I mean - and close any holes in the argument. On issues I feel strongly about, especially, I don't want to leave my posts subject to misinterpretation because of poor wording on my part, and that's more important to me than readers knowing it took me four drafts to get there..

I won't edit once someone has commented on something in my post though, like you - at that point what's the gain? I've already tee'd someone off.

I did. I told you, above, that I was not trying to say that I learned the secret of editing first! I never figured it out. I only posted

my strong opinions in favor of of editing because I support editing. I was simply adding my voice to the pro-editing side of the

argument. I happened to have argued this point before, so I used something I had already written on Pricescope. End of drama.

I tend to edit after I post, too. Mostly because I notice a typing or grammar error, and that drives me nuts!

Thanks for posting the info, Kenny -- I hadn't figured it out. Always wondered why the feature is there -- who cares how many times somebody edits? I wish my life were so uneventful that that counted as even noticeable.

Much worse would be NOT editing. I'm awfully glad you all don't have to read every first version I write, with all my dangling out-of-place bits & pieces. Good gawd, Shakepeare didn't have it roll off his pen perfectly; why would we?

It's actually can be confusing when a person posts, than extensively edits, deletes, rephrases, constructs new sentences, deletes some sentences and then creates an entire new context 3+ times. This is what I was referring to, NOT general editing. Kenny - you forgot to include the part where it was impossible to figure out what you were trying to say b/c every time the refresh button was hit, a whole new post magically appeared.

You know, Kenny, I could care less if we get along, but seriously, you've done yourself justice in proving you lack any sense of tact by putting me as your primary target example in this thread. Congrats!
