I just bought a deal

As many of you know my DH gifted me with a bigger RB a few months ago. I decided to return it within the time allowed. Although it was a 2 ct. it seemed small on my hand since my halo was much bigger. It was a good thing we returned it because it was the start of things breaking in our home. Our furnace died and needed replaced then the water heater went a week later. Then DH had a hernia surgery so needless to say it was a blessing I did not keep it. Anyway, I happened to be cruising GOG site last Friday and spotted a 1.57 SI1 for a price that made my jaw drop. I emailed DH and we put it on hold. Yesterday I got an email from Darren at GOG telling me Jon looked at the stone and he said it was an SI2 instead. I called to talk to Darren and he put me through to Jon. Jon was very informative about the stone and honest. It had a small nick on a facet that could not be seen with the eye. I almost decided to not get it but Jon said it could be polished out. I was so happy. He told me the price online was a mistake and he almost called to tell me who could not sell it for that price but decided to let it go to move inventory. I know I got an excellent deal and I can't wait to get it this week. I love pears, I had one during my last marriage and am thankful I am getting this one.

I am having it put in the cheapest white gold setting they had because I have no idea how I want to set it. It is going to be a vprong for the tip and they are making the other prongs tiny and delicate.

I really thought when I put my RB in the halo it would be my forever ring but after wearing it for over a year a halo is not for me. I love the beauty of a solitaire. I am going to make sure I take plenty of time to decide on my forever setting. I have decided to sell my halo, I can't see myself wearing two rings that look like erings. Where I live my pear is already going to be more bling than what most people wear.

You will likely have a better time selling the stone and ring separately. You will probably ge ta better return on the stone than the setting, so two different sales would likely work better.
