So, I already have my ring; my diamond is set in the WF 6 prong tiffany style setting. I meant for this setting to be it''s temp home until I could get my MWM Torchiere setting.

So, what is the process for getting my diamond from my finger to Mark''s hand? My understanding is he does not take the stone directly from clients. Ideas on how to go about this logistically?

Thanks!

He often is not taking new clients, so you need to check that out first. Actually, that doesn't apply if you want just the basic Torchiere I guess...

ETA: I see on his website he does only take from appraisers and dealers. Just send it to an appraiser first who can send it to Mark. Or you conversely could probably go through Jon at Good Old Gold.

Mark might be the best person to answer this...not sure what he requires these days.

I know he takes stones from appraisers, so if you''re in the market for an appraisal, might be a good time to get it done now. Appraiser can then send the stone to Mark.

Thanks, both. I was trying to avoid a "middle man" as I am quite confident that my AGS- ES diamond from WF is quite up to par with how it was graded!

I''ll shoot him an e-mail though :)

You probably could just send it back to WF and have them forward it to Mark. They are well known enough that he might be ok with that.

Oh, sure. he''ll take the stone from a diamond vendor.

Why won''t he take a diamond directly from a customer? And this adds more shipping expense for them, besides the hassle...

He says it is because he doesn''t want any questions about whether the diamond he sends back to the customer is the one he received.
