I Have a Diamond!!

I spoke with Josh at James Allen to let him know that, although his diamond is incredible, I went with the 3.29 stone from Whiteflash.

Since Chris DiCamillo and Mike "the Hammer" said it was eye clean and really a SI1, I just had to go for the size. Josh at James Allen was gracious and kind. Whoever ends up with their 2.87 H stone is really lucky. Chris fell in love with that stone. He said the angle makes it a special stone.

I also e-mailed Jonathan at Gold Old Gold and Gary at Engagement Rings Direct. They were looking for cushions for me and they were as nice as can be when they were helping me and just as kind and happy for me when I let them know I''d bought elsewhere. I think you just can''t go wrong when working with vendors like these. The conflict is an internal one and we research, look and learn until we find that special diamond that is just right for us.

I went to Bailey Banks and Biddle to look and I fell in love with the Memoires eternity band setting. Unfortunately it is over my budget. I have 4-5K to spend. I am open to suggestions and I may go to look at a local jeweler because I don''t want to wait weeks for my ring. I really do love the eternity band look and I have quotes from WF and Facets, but everyone says Memoires is nicer and sits lower. I guess I could get a 7 stone or a lower carat weight to get the cost down. I did leave at message fro Bobby in Houston but he is out for a couple of days. Now that I have a stone I am EAGER to set the bugger!!!
