Covid numbers are down in Massachusetts, so my DH and I snuck out for a romance meal LOL.

(in reality, we had to pick up some back ordered wardrobe doors for my son. My DH said Happy Valentines Day right before we sat down. I thought it was hilarious so I had to take a pic;p)

I have heard the meat balls are good

Tonight (its Monday here) i will be either making butter chicken with a bottle of sauce or cooking steak and chips with mixed veg

Were having our romantic Valentines dinner on Valentines Day (tomorrow)! So I can report better tomorrow! But judging that we're going to the highest rated Italian restaurant here I'd guess that I'm going to be on the "Hell Yes!" Side!

I told him no gifts this year, as he's not great with it and puts a lot of pressure on him, so we're doing heart felt letters to eachother and he reserved a table for tomorrow night. I'm excited as I'll get to wear my rainbow pearls!

You don’t know what you’re missing @canuk-gal! The Swedish meatballs and lingonberries are delicious! I got hooked on the lingonberries from IKEA... I make roast port tenderloin, fingerling potatoes, and brussel sprouts. Then I put a dollop of lingonberries right on top..I have to go make that soon! Yummmmm! The lingonberries by themselves are tart..You have to add them to something. Then they are perfect!

Well our numbers are going up and Gary isnt boostered yet but we ended up getting chinese for tea (tea is dinner here)
We got plenty so there would be left overs for breakfast
chicken noodle no egg
nasi gooring combination hot
Lemon chicken no rice

We parked outside a florist
i went and got a tiny posey for Tibby's box of ashes on the china cabinet


We sold all our $10 Valentine's mud cakes at work
A lot better blue than a single $25 red rose !
But please if you order sometime come to collect it before we close

We have teens/young adults at home still so I tried to make something they would like so it was homemade chicken nuggets (using Chick-fil-A recipe) and homemade fries in the air fryer. Dessert was a bought cheesecake. It was a definite hit! I cooked 3 lbs of chicken nuggets and there was 0 left in the fridge when I got up this morning. Someone had a midnight snack!

Oh my gosh I love Ikea though I have never eaten there. I love the clean lines and modern aesthetic. I haven't been there since the pandemic began but look forward to going back once the pandemic is over. Hope everyone enjoyed a lovely Valentine's Day!

As much as I love Swedish meatballs, and salmon… we had fresh Dungeness crab, so I opted “hell yes!” Even if our dinner was totally unplanned, and on Saturday rather than last night.

But that lovely bouquet of kitchen brushes…
