I''ve been keeping real quiet about this because I didn''t want to jinx it..
but I''ve been waiting one month to interview for a dream job at my university.
Interview was this morning, and *****I GOT THE JOB!!!*****
I was sooo nervous - it was an interview with three different heads of departments - but it was all very easygoing and friendly and they seemed to really like me.
This is a two-part thing that came upon me completely by chance -
I was encouraged to apply for a cadetship through the government; if I get it, I will
actually be paid to complete my studies (a living allowance), and
will also do one to two days per week in a professional position at the Uni,
where I will develop my career direction (and also get paid as an employee).
It will be a fantastic opportunity and really take off a huge weight for me financially / stress wise.
I don''t want to speak too much on the details of the position (as folks know where I am), but it is a varied and challenging and interesting role with alot of University and Community involvement, that will also offer future advancement.
Suffice to say I am extremely excited about it!
So, the hard part is down - I was officially offered the position this morning!.
But now it is contingent upon the Govt. approving my cadetship.
The folks at the uni reckon it will be a no-brainer, but to be safe I would love to make my official *first request* for PS dust, for the cadetship to go through...please!?
Thankyou in advance
