And they're lovely. I got the .84 carat Nambian teal tourmaline. It's slightly darker than the vendor's picture but not horribly so. The inclusions aren't really apparent, or at least they aren't to me.
Hi Kismet! I like the Namibia Tourmaline. I have actually enquired about it before. Uli did mention that the durability could be compromise due to the internal structure. It a pretty color though! Just be more careful when you set it!
Aren't they lovely, Kismet? I love the liquid flower design, and your amethyst seems to be more saturated than mine. But I must agree -I get distracted by your demantoid, too!
Thanks all! The amethyst liquid flower is really pretty and the faceting is just amazing. I was wavering between buying this amethyst and the fire opal liquid flower but settled on the amethyst because it seemed as though you could see the swirls better.
And thank you for the compliments on my demantoid ring too.
TL: As for the septagon shape, I think I'll treat it like a pear. When you get right down to it, it really is a short, squatty pear with an angular rather than rounded bottom. So maybe I'd do a 3 prong pendant or a east-west ring.
What beautiful stones! I like the swirly pattern in the amethyst and love the color on your tourmaline. Of course, that demantoid ring is gorgeous too. Thanks for sharing!
