Despite being told that the first round of university offers are sent out in January, I just received my letter of acceptance! I met with the head of school last Tuesday and our conversation went very well - it seems that I'll only be required to do 2.5 years of the 4 year program and be able to continue working nearly fulltime. Much of the practical components of the degree are able to be pieced together for me in my workplace, with wonderfully supportive mangers. :appl:

Very excited for the next chapter. :bigsmile:

:wavey: Thanks everyone! :wavey:

The program is in medical science, so I'll be identifying what nasty bugs are giving you infections of various kinds, and sorting out their drug sensitivities for treating physicians. I already work in the field, and have for almost 7 years now, but will be operating at a higher level after getting this next degree.

NOT looking forward to being the "old one" in school though. :knockout: Thankfully I have a baby face and no one ever guesses my age correctly. :lol:

Then again...dropping my hours, paying uni fees, and trying to pay off our mortgage in 5 years while having international holidays every year. Doesn't seem to lend itself to diamonds, does it? :errrr: Maybe I will use these 2.5 years to plan for my graduation gift! :naughty:

ooooh!!! I second JaneSmith's idea of Poppy and the acceptance letter (details blocked out, to protect the innocent, of course) You said it yourself, its your civic duty to take diamonds out and photograph them at key spots (we'll be a bit loose and say 'milestones' in this case!)

LOL!! Just another reason to view Poppy - that's all I'm lookin' for! :lol:
