I got engaged this weekend!

Hi everyone! After so many years of dating and 3 months of backward wedding planning, we''re officially engaged! The ring had been sitting in its FedEx box for 2 months while he was out of state and I managed not to sneak a peak!

I did try to take photos on Macro mode, but the camera just won''t focus on it. I Know that''s the mode with the flower, and it definitely gets it closer, but the ring is still completely fuzzy. Any tips? I think I have a Canon Powershot A95. Do I just need a better camera or am I doing it wrong??

Just take a LOT of shots. Unfortunately with diamonds only about 1 out of 20 shots is decent in my experience.

Have you gotten close ups yet? If not, try holding the camera steady, then hold the button (that takes the picture) half way down til it focuses (don''t let go!) and continue to press it all the way and that should solve your problems!
