I got a tattoo...

I have been wanting to get one for a long time but finally bit the bullet. OMG did it hurt! Lots more than I thought it would.

I love it! I think that's an especially sensitive spot to get a tattoo. I want one there too! I also love the meaning of your tattoo. It seems we're in the same stage of life. Kids flying the coop!
A coworker got her dearly departed mother's handwriting there saying "I Love you." I adore it!

Beautiful tats! I love the symbolism and the simplicity of it. I have a small one on my back, it was a long time ago so I don't remember if it hurt or not. My husband has half sleeves tats on each arm, it took several sittings to do them all.

I had one done when I turned 40. I lost my treasured dad when I was 27 & I always wanted something to commemorate him. Then I had my daughter's & wanted something to incorporate them too & spent a few years racking my brains. And then it came to me whilst running one morning! My daughter's names begin with an H & an L, my dad's initials were LH & his writing was very italic. So I had the initials copied from his signature. I love this & what it means. No plans for anymore though! Ouch! It has lost some of the black now, 3.5 years later. I was told this would happen however, so it would need re-inking to bring the black back. No thanks!

I kind of like the look of faded tattoos! They have more "history." I don't blame you, though. I hear about touch-ups and filling in more color. It was SO painful, I'm ok with it fading. LOL!

I got my one and only tattoo, when my kitty passed away. I am terrified of needles and, despite my husband's comments that it doesn't even hurt, it hurt!!!
