I found the dress!!!

Hey girls,

I found the dress! Many thanks to Lesley at Weddings by Debbie. I''m so excited and I love it! Also please give me veil suggestions. I tried it on with a 2 tier elbow length viel, and don''t know if I should stick with that length or not? Also I plan to purchase my veil on ebay (because I refuse to pay $400 for a piece of tulle), so please help me find one..

I''m also going to post pics of the other dresses I tried on just for fun.

The dress is by Pronovias, and is made in Spain...part of what I think is so cool is that it has to go through customs to get to me.

Also I plan to shorten the train from chapel length to a sweep train. The necklace in the picture is the one I will wear on the big day (its my grandmother''s).

this one is also pronovias, but a-line and strapless...it was a little too poofy skirt looking for me...I had to wear a petticoat...

And I loved this one too (pretend the flower isn''t there), but it was $1k more than the dress I chose, and the bottom wouldn''t be in as many pictures...

I like that one too! Is that a fingertip length? I know nothing about viels. That dress was at Houston Bridal and Formal Gallery and the only one I liked that I tried on.

WOW! you found a dress quick, and it looks great. I like that is a bit different than all the strapless ones you see and the off the shoulder is stunning! I wish I could give you advice on a veil, but i still cant decide on a dress let alone start thinking about veils.

When I started looking for veils, I came across a company via the Knot called The Veil Shop - their website is www.veilshop.com - it was helpful as it has pictures of veils on a model and gives the "correct" terminology. I didn''t know all the lengths. A lot of the veil sellers will send you samples of the tulle and that was really helpful too as I wanted to match my dress perfectly.

I did find a veil on ebay today, and my Future SIL said that I can borrow her headpiece if I want to...it can be my "something borrowed".

The dress is beautiful, very classic! As for a veil suggestion, I would go with a simple cathedral length, one tier veil. Or a cathedral veil that had some kind of embelishment such as lace on the bottom.

Thank you ladies. Another thing I''m excited about, is that for the size they are ordering my measurements are almost right on, so there should be minimal alterations.

I''ll have to consider the chapel length veil...thats what my FSIL had, so maybe I''ll borrow that too.
